Housetraining your Rescue Dogs BC

July 17, 2018

You should be aware that it can take about anywhere from six months to up to one year to properly house train a dogs for adoption bc. It’s recommended that such training should begin once a pet dog is between 12 to 16 weeks of age. Do you wish to house train the rescue dogs bc? Are you finding the entire process a hassle? Well, read on to know about some simple things that can help you house train your rescue dogs bc, especially puppies.

Keep your pet dog on good feed. Make sure you provide the food on a well-scheduled basis and take away the food between meals to avoid overeating.  You’ll need to take your puppy or dogs for adoption bc out to relieve themselves in the morning. Make sure it’s the first thing they do. For a puppy, you’ll need to take them out at least once after a 30 minute duration or even an hour. You should also take your pet out when they’re done taking a nap. Also, take them out before bedtime. The important thing is that you take your pet to the same spot every time. This is because the scent in the said area will urge your pet to do their business.

You’ll need to stay outside with your pet until he or she is properly house trained. Positive feedback is very important during this process. Whenever your pet eliminates outside, give them a treat or even some praise. Show your rescue dogs bc that you’re proud of them. This will require patience. You should supervise them gently. Of course, accident will happen during the housebreaking process. During such times, you’ll need to remember to stay calm and not lash out at your dogs for adoption bc or puppy. I remember it took indy probably a month or so to really understand to not pee inside and to only go outside. It just took a lot of positive encouragement but more so I just had to make sure that we went out every 2 hours to go and try to pee, and when he did, I made him feel like he did something very good. That worked well over time with lots of repetition.
