Dog Days Clothing launched with the idea and belief that a company shouldn't just aim to make profit and call it a day. Instead, it should take part and strengthen the community it lives in by giving back and supporting ideas and causes that people care about. Because the company gives some profit to help, people can easily support it and it will grow. It will grow much farther than it would if it didn't do any of this. So we got to work. Given that we are all animal lovers here, we wanted to create a brand that not only made great clothing that people would love to wear but also be proud to wear because of the causes we support.
What we do is donate half of the profit from everything we sell to support rescue dogs in need in dog rescue and animal rescues across around Abbotsford, BC and all over Canada. We also support dogs for adoption that are in the foster care system as well. We send them money to buy dog food to care for all the animals in their custody and keep them healthy long enough until they find their home.
We also realized that we can help people in need through the use of service animals given that they can improve a patient's life drastically. So, we back programs that train and donate guide dogs to the disabled, blind, deaf or autistic. When one of these patients is matched with a guide dog, they can go on to lead their best life.
We also wanted to help the veterans and first responders who have suffered some form of mental trauma as a result of the sacrifice they made in the service and are now struggling with PTSD. This can include police, fire and paramedics as well. When one of these patients is paried with a service dog their lives improve and they can begin to recover mentally.
If you can get behind us and support the cause please back us up by sharing this with your friends around Abbotsford, British Columbia and help us get our mesage out there! Thanks so much! - Andy B
